Clair Analytics
A read-only YouTube channel analytics tool.
Clair Analytics collects performance data for the YouTube channel English with Clair so the channel owner can review topics, titles, thumbnails, audience retention and traffic sources without copying numbers out of YouTube Studio by hand.
What it accesses
With the channel owner's permission, granted through Google OAuth, Clair Analytics requests only two read-only scopes:
- YouTube account information (
youtube.readonly): the channel's ID and title, and the list and metadata of its uploaded videos. - YouTube Analytics reports (
yt-analytics.readonly): views, watch time, average view duration, subscribers gained, traffic sources, search terms, audience retention, and thumbnail impressions and click-through rate.
What it never does
- It does not upload, modify or delete any YouTube content.
- It does not post comments, change settings or manage the channel.
- It does not access revenue or other monetary data.
- It never asks for or stores a Google password.
How it works
A scheduled job on the channel owner's own computer calls the official YouTube Data API, YouTube Analytics API and YouTube Reporting API once a day. The results are stored locally for the channel owner's private analysis. This website only hosts documentation; it does not collect or display any channel data.
